To celebrate publication of the 5th edition of the European Capitals of Culture Report, the co-authors (and IGCAT experts), Robert Palmer, Greg Richards and Diane Dodd discussed lessons learned and challenges for future capitals of culture.
The meeting, organised by ART-idea took place on 13th December 2013 in Barcelona. Places were restricted to professionals from the field (leading academics and policy-makers) to ensure a quality discussion with the authors.
The Conversation was moderated and guided by the interests of the participants and provided insights into areas such as programming, audience development, the European dimension, innovation, strategic planning, sector linkages (tourism, economy, health etc.) and trends in evaluation.
