Cine-tourism has been thriving since 1985, when Meryl Streep fell for Robert Redford in Out of Africa and bookings for safaris in Kenya and sales of khaki bush shirts went through the proverbial roof. This year’s big screen-linked tourism phenomenon is Game of Thrones, which is filmed across a variety of countries, helpfully ensuring many destinations can get into the act, with themed packages and tours.
