University of Bergamo publishes Wine, Food & Arts Report

The first italian Wine, Food & Arts Report has been published, representing an important news in the field of Italian tourism research.

The report identifies and values Italian initiatives that combine art and food by analysing their characteristics, peculiarities, motivations, results, sustainability, and whether or not they could be repeated.
Wine, Food & Arts Report, created thanks to the collaboration between University of Bergamo’s Center for Tourism Research and Gavi’s observatory, analysed 219 projects: 99 food and wine museums, 50 performative arts and events cultural productions, 34 installations of contemporary art, 18 cultural assets restorations, 11 labels and packaging created by artists and 7 cultural awards.
According to Roberta Garibaldi, leader of the research and IGCAT expert, “The main reason why people decide to undertake similar projects is their personal passion… a personal interest thus become a cultural reality that creates customer satisfaction and positive economic income. Indeed, the report underlines how in many cases initiatives that combine art and food have brought different types of positive results to the organisations and people promoting them”.
