Urban Farming in Cape Town

The Ekasi Project Green is an urban farming project run by young people from Cape Town. The project promotes a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition so everyone can be more aware about the food they eat. The project aims to create a space where young people can be creative while developing themselves and understanding the role they play in the food system. The project was born because of frustratation about the lack of quality food in their community. Working with their community, they understood that their food system needed a transformation through innovation.
