A new educational model for acquisition of sustainability competences through service learning

[/trx_title][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]EN Co-Funded by the EU_POS[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The NEMOS project (www.nemosproject.com) acknowledges sustainability as an increasingly crucial skill for graduate and post-graduate students to tackle important global challenges such as climate change, food waste and the loss of biodiversity in their professional future.

Therefore, the project aims to define a new educational model to integrate sustainability competences in the curricula of food-related degrees by means of service learning.

In practice, by developing a Food Sustainability Profile for students and a methodological handbook, NEMOS will create a guidance framework, toolkits and educational practices patterns for the acquisition of sustainability competences through green pedagogies and service learning.

The ultimate aim will be to contribute to the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals:
