IGCAT received a guided visit by the heads of the Mercantic – an exciting private venture which has captured the hearts and imaginations of local citizens and the city council. The visit was part of the meeting that took place in Sant Cugat del Vallès last 23 October in relation to the Ambassadors Program launched by the Catalan Tourism Board and Catalonia Convention Bureau.
The Recinte Mercantic, located in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) is the most original and unique venue in Spain dedicated to the buying and selling of antiques, auctions and architectural rubble. It has become a European benchmark: meeting about 90 traders: antique, vintage dealers, handmade, collectors … all of them located in different shops, outdoor patio and some other small shops installed in what was once a ceramic kiln.
