Operationalizing Culture in the Sustainable Development of Cities | 6-8 May |Helsinki – Finland.

Despite the tremendous effort put into developing local sustainability policies and plans that include culture in cities and smaller communities internationally, there is frequently a gap between discursive elements of the planning process and their operationalization in practice. Further, one of the major gaps in the guides and integrated frameworks developed for cities to include culture in local sustainability planning and development has been the question of how to integrate culture within these processes – this incorporates both conceptual and operational issues.
