A meeting of the nine founding regional partners of the European Region of Gastronomy was organised by IGCAT on 30 June at the Departament d’Agricultura Ramederia i Pesca in in Barcelona. The meeting was held to determine the action plan, budget and further steps in the process for a shared project which has been called EUReGa. Representative bodies from the nine different founding regions were present to participate in the discussions concerning the project which will be presented to the INTERREG Europe programme.

INTERREG Europe co-finances projects in order to allow for the exchange of practices and ideas on public policies amongst regional and local public authorities across Europe. The aim is to find solutions to improve strategies for citizens within Europe. Besides this also platforms for policymakers to share knowledge more efficiently are supported by INTERREG. Four main topics build the funding agenda; research & innovation, competitiveness of SMEs,low-carbon economy and environment & resource efficiency.
