Gastronomy Show takes place for the second time in Sant Pol de Mar

The second edition of the Gastronomy Show took place in Sant Pol de Mar on 19-20 June 2015. It gathered several restaurants and food artisans to offer tastings of the most representative local dishes and products. During two days, a variety of afternoon-evening events took place in the scenic and relaxing park (Parc del Litoral). More than 2,000 guests attended to taste delicious dishes, as well as desserts from local bakeries and delicatessens. In addition, attendees enjoyed musical performances and culinary workshops for all ages. The program included the concert of La Plana Swing Orchestra within the 40th Jazz Galet Club Festival.  An exhibition aimed to raise awareness of local cuisine in the whole region which demonstrates once again that Catalonia was well chosen to be awarded European Region of Gastronomy 2016.

IGCAT offices are proudly located in this beautiful coastal town, 5o kilometres away from Barcelona, which is fast becoming a gastronomy destination.  Sant Pol de Mar has joined the map of gastronomy ‘must be’ places with its wide and varied cuisine, with restaurants and quality products as well as the renowned restaurant Sant Pau, owened by Carme Ruscalleda, as well as the University School of Hospitality and Tourism (EUHT) of Sant Pol.
