IGCAT is among the 94 organisations from across the cultural and creative sector that have signed a letter calling for strong and systemic support measures at EU and national level for the sector to recover from the crisis brought about by the Covid-19 outbreak.

Addressed to EU Member States and the European Parliament, the letter explains how the recovery package announced by the European Commission seems to neglect the precariousness of the cultural and creative sector, despite it being one of the first and hardest hit by the crisis.

By highlighting the lack of sector specific instruments for culture, alongside an alarming decrease in the Creative Europe budget, signatory organisations stress the need for a stronger support of the cultural and creative sector by the European Union and call for:
