Multi-dimensional development of tourism need of Rajasthan: Vasundhara Raje

The Rajasthan government is making all efforts for “multi-dimensional development” of the tourism sector in view of possibilities of growth of heritage travel in the state, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said on Sunday. “The state government is focusing on creation of a pleasant environment for domestic and foreign tourists along with new centres of attraction by way of organising fairs, festivals, celebrations and other such events,” she said. Addressing the inaugural session of 5th Annual Convention of Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) in Udaipur, Raje said, “With presence of various factors of heritage tourism like art, folk culture, tradition and history, Rajasthan is a choice of all international and domestic travellers.”

The chief minister also called upon the members of the industry for innovation in conservation of heritage and development of tourism, and give suggestions in this regard. IHHA president Gaj Singh urged the Union Tourism Ministry for framing a national policy on heritage tourism.
