“Il turismo culturale europeo. Città ri-visitate. Nuove idee e forme del turismo culturale” (European Cultural Tourism. Re-visited Cities. New ideas and forms of cultural tourism), edited in 2014 by Franco Angeli (Milan) is the second edition of a series of volumes about cultural and creative tourism.
The book is an opportunity to analyse the trends related to this type of tourism and stimulate a debate on the choices made so far by the major players and those still to be made. For a better understanding, the book also provides a picture of innovation processes and conceptual lines, through the analysis of theoretical contributions and case histories.
The introductory chapter “Cultural tourism 3.0: The future of urban tourism in Europe?” written by Greg Richards, outlines briefly the challenges of cultural tourism and charts trends for the future.
The book is curated by Roberta Garibaldi, member of IGCAT Board and Professor of Marketing and Tourism Marketing at the University of Bergamo (Italy).
