“Economia e gestione imprese turistiche” (Economics and management of tourism industries) (Hoepli, Milan, 2015) is the title of a new interesting manual that provides a broad and reasoned overview of the main types of tourism businesses and of the economic, competitive and legislative environment in which such businesses operate.
The manual is composed by three parts made of twelve chapters, whose authors are all experts, mainly working at the University or in some ways connected to it, with specific knowledge in diverse areas. After a preliminary theoretical section, it deals with the most significant type of businesses that have developed over the years in the field of supply and tourist intermediation.
The manual is curated by Roberta Garibaldi, member of IGCAT Board and Professor of Marketing and Tourism Marketing at the University of Bergamo (Italy).
