New pedestrian safety plan to protect visitors ahead of Hull City of Culture 2017

A review of pedestrian safety will be carried out in Hull in the build-up to becoming UK City of Culture 2017, it has been revealed. With thousands of extra visitors expected to flock to the city to take part in cultural events, Hull City Council is keen to minimise ‘conflict’ between traffic and pedestrians.
