Graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in New York State. He has an international background of 25 years of both hospitality education and industry operations.

Managing Director and CEO of EUHT StPOL – Sant Pol School of Hospitality & Culinary Management in Barcelona, Spain’s #1 School according the QS World University Rankings by subject and among the World’s best 20.

President of EUHOFA International, the first international association of hotel, tourism and culinary schools directors, with over 150 schools worldwide. Founding member of Hotel Schools of Disctiction, a selective group of some of the leading hotelschools in the world.

He has participated as an expert in local, regional, national and international boards and commissions related to hotel, tourism and culinary education.

In collaboration with IGCAT, he created the European Young Chef Award and organized the first two editions (2016 and 2017).

LLuís Serra is an IGCAT Ambassador (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism) since 2023.
