The Songkran festival: Celebrating the Thai New Year

Once a year form April 13 to 15 the Songkran festival takes place to welcome the new year. Throwing of water is a traditional part of this festival and represents the respect and well wishing during the ceremony, which takes place all over the city of Chiang Mai in Thailand.
